About You:
As a Community Psychiatric Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering mental health care outside of hospital settings, working across various sectors. Your role will involve dynamic and varied tasks, including patient care in their homes, liaising with GPs, and using advanced assessment skills to ensure the best outcomes. This role is highly rewarding, allowing you to build trusting relationships and gain deep insights into patients' lives. You will work under experienced leadership, with regular handovers and support systems in place to ensure high-quality care while providing compassionate and personalised care to your patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Specialist assessment of individuals and their families
• Medication administration and monitoring, including depots
• Crisis intervention and management
• Monitoring vital signs and ongoing care
• Communicating regularly with clients, families, and professionals
• Liaising with the patient's GP and other healthcare professionals
• Following prescribed care plans and monitoring medical stock
• Conducting safety checks on medical equipment
• Managing infection prevention and control
• Supervising and guiding junior staff and trainees
• Participating in local audits and research projects
• Acting within the NMC Code of Conduct at all times

Requirements:

• At least 12 months of recent post-registration psychiatric nursing experience in the UK
• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin
• Right to work in the UK
• Up-to-date PVG check and proof of immunisations (Hepatitis B, Rubella, Varicella, TB, and Measles)
• Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Excellent teamwork skills, flexibility, and professionalism
