It’s important to wear the right clothes whenever you work a shift with EHS. This is to make sure you follow infection prevention and control standards, as well as look professional. If you don’t wear the right clothing (including a EHS Workforce tunic), you might be stopped from booking shifts with us, so it’s important to follow the dress code guidelines below. See our full Professional Standards of Dress Policy for healthcare professionals.
How do I talk to my account manager?
Have a general question or need help? The easiest way to get in touch is via our contact us functions. From there, we'll be able to route your query to the right person. However, if you need to talk to someone about a shift that's in the next 24 hours, or about one that you've worked in the previous 24 hours, please get in touch with us via phone. Call us on 0333 188 9457 From there, we'll be able to connect you to your account manager, or a manager in your region who will be familiar with your EHS Workforce profile.
When will my timesheet be approved?
We know how important it is to get your timesheets approved so you can be paid on time. That's why we've set a deadline for timesheets to be approved by 5pm on Fridays. Care organisations will receive weekly email notifications to remind them to review any pending timesheets. If you submitted your timesheet on time and it hasn't been approved by Friday 5pm, please get in touch with us at staff@earthhavenhealthcare.com and we will follow it up with your account manager.
How soon can I start booking shifts?
As soon as you're marked 100% compliant and receive your welcome email, you'll be able to pick up shifts.
What is an acceptable photo for my EHS Workforce ID?
We'll ask you to submit a photo during the registration process so that we can create a EHS Workforce ID badge for you. It's important that this photo is clear and professional, because this is what our care organisations will use to identify you when you arrive for a shift. Here are some tips to make sure your photo meets our criteria: • Photos should be taken against a white or light-coloured background. • Only your shoulders and above should be visible. • Dress professionally, and don't forget to smile. • Don't use filters. • Make sure your photo isn't blurry. Once you've registered with an acceptable photo, you should receive your ID badge in the post within seven working days. If you’ve been waiting more than seven working days, please contact us.
What do I do if I have a DBS on the Update Service?
Registering your Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate on the Update Service means you can use it to work with multiple companies, which can save you time and money. If you have a DBS certificate on the Update Service, please upload or attatch a photograph of the original certificate during registration or send it to us here. We can't accept a screenshot of the DBS website as proof of your DBS check. If you need a new DBS, find out how we can help here If you have a conviction on your DBS, find out what to do here
I'm on a Student visa. Can I still register with EHS Workforce?
Yes, but we'll need proof of your right to work in the UK. The first step is getting a share code. You can request this through the GOV.UK website here.
Along with your share code, we'll need a copy of your university enrolment letter, which should show: Your details Your course title The start and end date of your studies
Most Student visas allow for a maximum of 20 hours of work per week during term time. So we'll also need a letter from your school showing your term and holiday dates. This will let us lift the restriction on your working hours outside of term time. You can send your share code and documents to our recruitment team at recruitment@earthhavenhealthcare.com and they will help you with your registration.
What is EHS Academy?
EHS Academy is our world-class online learning platform, designed for the professional development of healthcare professionals. With EHS Academy, you can complete all your mandatory training in one place for free. All of our courses are CPD-accredited, and we don't put any restrictions on where you can use your certificates. That means you can use your EHS Academy training to further your career, wherever you choose to work.
Do you accept training certificates from providers other than EHS Academy?
Yes, we're happy to accept training certificates from the NHS, previous jobs or third parties if:
• They’re aligned with the Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF) or CPD-accredited. • Your certificate covers one or more of our mandatory training modules. • Your certificate is in date. Important: If your certification covers several modules, you'll need to upload it to each module separately. If you need to complete any other essential training modules, you can do so for free on EHS Academy
Why has my reference been rejected?
If one of your references has been rejected, this might be because: • A nurse referee has entered an incorrect NMC pin. • The reference doesn’t include enough information. • The reference is the same as one already on your profile. • The referee has used a personal, rather than a professional, email address. • We can't verify the referee's company. • The referee isn’t senior enough. • The referee denies providing the reference. • Your reference doesn’t match your work history. • We can't use the reference to prove your minimum work experience. • The referee has a caution or interim suspension associated with their NMC pin. • We can't use the reference to confirm your clinical experience. You can find out who you can use as a reference here If you have any questions about references, contact us and we'll be happy to help.
