About You:
The role and responsibilities of a community nurse can provide a long-lasting career for qualified registered nurses looking to apply their skills outside traditional hospital settings. Community nurses deliver bespoke care to individuals in residential settings, GP facilities, community hospitals and care homes, preventing hospital admissions and reducing pressures on public health services such as the NHS. Join our team of Registered General Nurses in the London area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Medication administration
• Monitoring the client’s general health and well-being and ongoing care
• Monitoring vital signs - temperature, blood pressure etc
• Catheter care, end-of-life care, wound care, bowel care, diabetic care
• Communicating with clients, family and professionals regularly
• Liaising with the patient’s GP and other healthcare professionals involved eg. senior nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists etc
• Monitoring medical stock
• Following a prescribed plan
• Nutrition management
• Maintaining accurate and detailed care records.
• Conducting safety checks on medical equipment
• Managing infection prevention and control

Requirements:

• At least 12 months of recent post-registration nursing experience working in the UK
• Registered nurse with a valid NMC pin
• The right to work in the UK
• Up-to-date PVG check and proof of immunisations (Hepatitis B, Rubella, Varicella, TB and Measles)
• Full UK driving licence is essential and access to reliable vehicle
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Excellent teamwork skills, flexibility and professionalism
• A commitment to providing high-quality care
